The Soap Factory
The Soap Factory is a cultural event space and working soap studio located in the heart of Logan Heights, San Diego, California. Founded in 2021 by Karen and Chris Sanchez of Early Girl Creations, the space was created with a clear mission: to serve as a hub for creativity, community, and hands on learning.
Designed to host community centered events such as markets, fashion shows, and art galleries, The Soap Factory is also the home base where Early Girl Creations crafts their all-natural products including soaps, lotions, body oils, and more. One of the very first additions to the space was an onsite garden, thoughtfully planted to grow ingredients used in their products and to educate people on the importance of researching ingredients/ reducing toxins.
As more collaborators and creatives became involved, The Soap Factory evolved into one of San Diego’s most beloved and sought after venues. Today, it’s a place where the community comes together through soap making and gardening classes, immersive events, and shared experiences rooted in sustainability and artistry.
Beyond events and workshops, The Soap Factory is deeply committed to community impact. Early Girl Creations partners with the San Diego County Office of Education to work with at-promised youth, mentoring interns in food cultivation, event production, and customer service and social skills by planting the seeds of confidence, creativity, and entrepreneurship for the next generation.
The Soap Factory is more than a venue it’s a living, growing space where community, craft, and purpose come together. Find the Soap Factory on Instagram @Thesoapfactory_sd
